After meeting with each GP practice in his constituency last year , York Outer MP Julian Sturdy hosted a roundtable with representatives of each practice and the Minister for Primary Health Dame Andrea Leadsom.
On the agenda for discussion was pressures facing primary care and how primary care can be used to cut the demand on secondary care. GPs shared joint-projects in York that see different GP practices working together as a potential model to rolled out across the country.
Following the meeting, Dame Andrea promised to visit York and meet with the GPs again.
