Following a year of meeting with dentists locally, York Outer MP Julian Sturdy met with new Health Minister Dame Andrea Leadsom MP to discuss dental care
They discussed the need for action to address the challenges facing the sector, such as accessibility, workforce incentives, NHS dental care contract reforms, and our situation in York.
Julian welcomes the Minister’s commitment and genuine enthusiasm for addressing these issues head on to ensure there is greater access to NHS dental care in the short-term, not just the future. He looks forward to continuing this positive dialogue with the Minister and welcomes the assurance gained that the Government will shortly be publishing a dentistry recovery plan.
